Prime Minister Receives High-Level Delegation from the Arab League

 

Mogadishu, Saturday, September 27, 2025 — The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, today received a high-level delegation from the Arab League. The delegation arrived in Somalia to oversee the implementation of a major project aimed at supporting the country’s education curriculum and promoting the Arabic language.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the Arab League for their continued support in areas such as diplomacy, education, state-building, and their critical role in debt relief and economic recovery.

The delegation, led by Mr. Zayd Al-Sabbaan, Director of the Horn of Africa and Sudan Department at the Arab League, commended the progress made by the Somali government. He highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation in politics, economics, and development, emphasizing the League’s commitment to deepening partnership with Somalia.
