Djibouti Police Chief Meets Italian Carabinieri Delegation to Boost Security Cooperation
As part of strengthening international security cooperation, the Chief of the Djibouti National Police, Brigadier General Asad Abdullah Osman, held a meeting with a delegation from the Italian Carabinieri, led by the Chief of Staff of the force, Lieutenant General Andrea Taurelli Salimbeni.
The meeting, held in Djibouti, focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two sides in the fields of training, capacity building, and the exchange of expertise.
Discussions also covered improving the skills of police officers and providing modern equipment to support law enforcement operations in line with current security challenges.
Both sides emphasized the importance of continued cooperation between Djibouti and Italy in the security sector, highlighting its role in strengthening stability and enhancing the capabilities of police forces to address various security threats.
This meeting comes within Djibouti’s ongoing efforts to modernize its police sector by benefiting from international expertise, thereby contributing to greater security and stability in the country and the region.
