Somalia and Egypt Strengthen Strategic Cooperation in Seoul Talks

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Abdulsalam Abdi Ali, held a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, H.E. Dr. Badr Abdelatty, on the sidelines of the Korea–Africa Ministerial Meeting in Seoul.

The two ministers discussed ways to strengthen the strategic partnership between Somalia and Egypt, and to expand bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest, aiming to further deepen the long-standing relations between the two countries.

The Somali Foreign Minister expressed his appreciation for Egypt’s continued support for Somalia’s unity, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national institutions, emphasizing the importance of sustained coordination and consultation on regional and international issues.

The meeting reflects ongoing diplomatic efforts to enhance Africa–Africa cooperation and build stronger strategic partnerships across the continent.
