Banadir and UNDP Strengthen Partnership to Advance Development in Mogadishu

The Banadir Regional Administration has discussed strengthening cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to accelerate efforts aimed at improving social services, public administration, security, and essential infrastructure in the capital, Mogadishu.

The meeting highlighted the importance of expanding development partnerships to address the needs of local communities and support effective and sustainable development programmes.

UNDP Somalia Resident Representative Christophoros Pouletis reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to continuing and strengthening its support through cooperation on development programmes that respond effectively to community needs.

The meeting was attended by Banadir Deputy Governor for Social Affairs and Public Awareness, Abdiasis Osman Mohamed, Deputy Governor for Public Affairs, Abdijabaar Dhahir Adam, as well as several officials from the Banadir Regional Administration.

The cooperation reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen public services, improve living conditions, and support development and stability across Mogadishu.
