Prime Minister Hamse Inspects Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu

Mogadishu, Somalia – The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamse Abdi Barre, conducted an unscheduled inspection of Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu following growing public complaints regarding airport services.

During the visit, Prime Minister Hamse personally assessed various operational areas of the airport, including passenger service points, security screening machines, waiting lounges, and other facilities critical to air travel.

Engaging directly with officials from the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation as well as airport management, the Prime Minister emphasized the urgent need to address deficiencies in service delivery that have been a source of concern for Somali citizens.

“The people of Somalia deserve efficient and modern services when traveling. I expect visible improvements within two weeks. Otherwise, strict measures will be taken,” Prime Minister Hamse stated firmly.

He further affirmed that he will return to the airport to verify the implementation of these commitments, underlining that the government prioritizes enhancing airport services, which serve as the country’s primary gateway for international arrivals and departures.

This inspection comes at a time when citizens have increasingly voiced frustrations over airport services, citing congestion and delays during departures and arrivals. The Prime Minister’s visit signals a clear government commitment to improving the travel experience for all passengers.
